I have been a migraine sufferer for about 20 years, I get a migraine every month which coincides with my cycle. I'm using this blog to document the things I've tried or am trying. If this blog helps anyone else then that is great, however, I'm not a doctor or a nurse. All posts and comments are opinions and not endorsed by a medical professional. Welcome to my Menstrual Migraine Blog

Hi,

I've set up this blog as I have suffered from Menstrual Migraine since about 2001 and have been trying various things to try to prevent it over the years without much success yet!

I want to track my progress on here, as I usually find something new to try most months and it may help others to read of my success/failure with these things.

Sometimes my Menstrual Migraines last a couple of days, but occasionally they last a whole week which is no fun at all.

My Doctor gives me Sumatriptan to take once a migraine is underway, but I don't much like the side effects of these, and so am looking to try to stop them happening in the first place.

I'll post the things I have already tried as I go along and when I remember what they were. If you have any useful information then please post as I'd be pleased to hear from you.

Lou.
